WHY USE ANZAHL WASH PRIMER?

A Polyvinylbutyral formulation, having excellent adhesion on most stubborn surfaces, when applied thinly, offers five-fold greater corrosion resistance than one without. A must for all cars, vehicles, transports, ships and aircraft, especially for places near or along seashores or coastlines. It is effective over galvanized iron, stainless steel, black iron, aluminum, nickel, chrome, lead, tin, brass, bronze, glass and most plastics.

IMPORTANCE OF USING Anzahl Wash Primer

  • They are classed as metal conditioners and the standard first coat applied on ships and aircrafts.
  • They serve to prevent corrosion of metal surfaces and provide a firm anchor for subsequent paint coats.
  • Their superior adherence provide excellent adhesion over stubborn surfaces such as galvanized iron, aluminum, chrome, stainless steel, glass, some plastics, etc.
  • They form thin films that are chemically bound to the metal surface giving properties of impermeability to moisture.

  • Mixing Ratio: 3 parts Anzahl Wash Primer to 1 part Anzahl Wash Primer Catalyst by volume (3:1)
  • Reduction: 1 part Anzahl Wash Primer with Anzahl Wash Primer Catalyst to 1 part Anzahl Urethane Thinner by volume (1:1)
  • Drying Time: 5 minutes touch free, 15 minutes recoatable
  • Storage: (Base) 3 years (Catalyst) 1 year
  • Pot-life: Use mixed paint within 8 hours
  • Thinning: Anzahl Urethane ThInner
  • Packaging: Base - Available in 1 Liter container (3/4 Full) Hardener - Available in 1/2 Liter container (Half Full)
  • Caution: Toxic and flammable. Keep away from fire and reach of children.

SURFACE PREPARATION AND APPLICATION

1. Sand and clean the metal surface. Use a degreaser to assure that it is free from oil, grease and other foreign materials.

3. Reduce 1 part Anzahl Wash Primer Mix (Anzahl Wash Primer with Anzahl Wash Primer Catalyst) with 1 part Anzahl Urethane Thinner (Ratio 1:1).

2. Mix 3 parts Anzahl Wash Primer #3360 (Green Color) to 1 part Anzahl Wash Primer Catalyst #3360C (Red Color)

4. Apply only 1 very thin coat. Let dry for 15 minutes before recoating with main primer coat (Anzahl Anti Corosion). No need to sand. If sprayed too thick, loss of adhesion occurs
