HUDSON ROOFSHADE is a gloss acrylic, water-based roof paint designed to protect and adhere to most roof substrates. It gives a durable and flexible film, fast-drying time and good gloss retention.

SURFACE PREPARATION: For unpainted galvanized iron sheets, etch the surface by applying Etching Solution. Wipe the surface with rag soaked in Paint Thinner to remove grease. Wipe the surface with cloth to remove excess dirt.

For prepainted galvanized iron sheets, scuff sand surface using sandpaper and wipe the surface with clean rag before applying paint. Spot prime if necessary.

For corroded G.I. surface, remove rust by wire brushing and apply HUDSON Rust Converter. Wipe the surface with clean cloth to remove excess dirt. Apply primer immediately before rust sets in.

For new unglazed rooftiles, make sure surfaces are completely clean and dry.

APPLICATION: Stir well before using. No thinning required but a small amount of water can be added to water-based paints to obtain desired application properties. Do not add oil based tinting colors or solvents to water-based paints. Close container and wash painting tools in warm soapy water immediately after use. Spray equipment should be given a final rinse with Hudson Paint or Lacquer Thinner to prevent rusting.
